Feel the cosmos as a translucent ever-living presence.
Claim: the world is already translucent living light - wherever light is, the whole rainbow is, since light is all color. Not metaphor (science: all is electricity; tantra: all is light particles). We miss it only because the senses have gone dull.
LSD shows the mechanism: drugs don’t create the wondrous world (chair, shoe, traffic noise, every leaf) - they dissolve the dullness hiding it. But borrowed sensitivity leaves you duller (immunity, bigger doses, a duller world once stopped) because YOU don’t grow. This technique grows sensitivity from within, for good.
Prep, candle: alone in a darkened room, bathe, throw cold water on the eyes, sit before a lit candle in a prayerful, loving mood. Look steadily, forget all else. After about five minutes new colors, halos, shades appear - the eyes are changing, not the candle. Let tears flow; they freshen the eyes.
Prep, rock: explore an ordinary stone a full hour with every sense (hands, face, tongue, smell). In the group Osho cites, each wanted to keep their rock, in love with it. A sympathetic eye loves even a rock; without sensitivity you are with a rock even beside the most beautiful person.
The technique: look at any leaf, flower, or rock patiently, unhurried (hurry is dullness and reveals nothing); wait silently and you feel rays issuing from it. Extend to the whole cosmos - everywhere, in every form, light is the ever-living foundation.
Result: the mind falls completely silent; you are a note in the symphony, a drop in the ocean, no burden. Feeling changes body chemistry at once (Osho cites subjects shown 30-minute emotional films whose urine chemistry then differed - horror sickened them, joy made them healthy), starting a chain: more aliveness seen, chemistry more alive, still more seen. Held about three months, you live in a different world, being different.

Both turn matter into perceived translucent living light, and 72's note that the sensitivity ripens over ~three months matches the tradition's sustained daily contemplation. The honest gap: 72 is undifferentiated luminosity, whereas the Sefirot add a specific ten-fold architectonic structure (the Tree, its channels) that the 112 does not encode — but the core perceptual practice (reality as differentiated divine light) is shared, so 72 is the right home.
